Dr Varun G. B. S. is an alumnus of M S Ramaiah Medical College and holds the MBBS degree from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore (2007). Thereafter, he completed his postgraduate training in Orthopaedics from Jagadguru Jayadeva Murugarajendra Medical College (JJMMC), Davanagere and holds an MS in Orthopaedics from the RGUHS (2011). More recently, he has also completed a Fellowship in Spine Surgery from the Indian Spinal Injuries Centre, New Delhi.
Dr Varun started his career working as a Junior Resident in Accident & Emergency Care at the Fortis Hospital (formerly Wockhardt Hospital) in Bangalore, before pursuing post-graduation in Orthopaedics. Subsequently, he has worked as an Assistant Professor in Orthopaedics at the Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute, Shri Balaji Vidhyapeeth University, Pondicherry. In addition to consulting at NationWide, he is a Consultant Orthopaedician at Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore.
